Dry or white load

Category: edible.

Hat (diameter 5-15 cm): opaque, white or off-gray, with buffy or yellow spots, slightly convex, fully spread or slightly depressed. Slightly wavy edges are usually tucked towards the inside.

Plates: thin, narrow and frequent.

Leg (height 2-5 cm): cylindrical, rather short for a massive cap. Solid and white in young mushrooms, hollow and pronounced in taste and smell.

Doubles: fiddler (Lactarius vellereus), which, in contrast to the dry load, has a milky juice.

Dry mushroom grows from late July to mid-September.

Where can I find: in forests of all types, often next to birches, aspens and oaks, less often with spruces.

Eating: dry podgruzdok is considered a very tasty mushroom in raw, pickled and salted form. Connoisseurs prefer dry salting.

Application in traditional medicine: does not apply.

Other names: podgruzdok white.
