Many lovers of "quiet hunting" take a long stick or cane with them to lift a layer of fallen leaves in order to discover forest gifts.

I must say that the growth of porcini mushrooms in October will depend on the climatic and weather conditions of a particular area. So, if solid frosts were not observed, then you can safely go for the boletus harvest. Often, the so-called "Indian summer" is a good reason to pick a lot of porcini mushrooms. It is better to look for them in the grass, bushes or in sunny glades. In early October, the weather still allows you to find a lot of boletus, but already with the onset of the first serious frosts, these fruiting bodies finally leave.
